He comes from a Bihari family. Ahsanuddin is the second child of the late Mrs. Ishrati Amanullah and Mr. Nehaluddin Amanullah. He is married to Zeba Amanullah and the couple is blessed with two kids namely Areeb and Sadia.

Ahsanuddin Amanullah career
Ahsanuddin Amanullah’s legal career began with roles as the Government Advocate for the State of Bihar from August 2010 to June 2011, and prior to that, as the Standing Counsel for the Government of Bihar from March 2006 to August 2010.
As an advocate, Justice Amanullah focused on Constitutional and Service law matters. He represented both the Bihar and Union governments in various roles. He served as the standing counsel for the Bihar government from March 2006 to August 2010, after which he was appointed as a Government Advocate.
He served at this position until he got promoted to the Patna High Court Bench in June 2011. Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah has participated actively in legal aid initiatives. Following his transfer to the Andhra Pradesh High Court in October 2021, he was appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legal Services Authority in November 2021.
Upon his return to the Patna High Court in June 2022, Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah was subsequently elevated to the Supreme Court on February 6th, 2023.
