The game was developed by the same people who developed the Battle For Bikini Bottom and made it available on modern gaming consoles along with Rehydrated.
The game features fan-favourite and familiar characters like Sandy, Plankton, and Squidward besides newcomers like Kassandra the gypsy mermaid. Ahead of the release, the game released its official trailer causing a lot of hype and teases.

The official release date and time countdown for SpongeBob SquarePants The Cosmic Shake has been confirmed as 06:00 PST, 09:00 EDT, and 14:00 GMT on January 31, 2023. The PSN store confirmed all the above hours for PS4 and PS5. Xbox One and Series X/S on the other hand, will also launch the game during the same hours and on the same day.
Meanwhile, the official PC and Steam countdown states that the game will launch in about one day and nine hours. This time countdown was stated as of 08:00 GMT on January 30. Based on the countdown, the game will unlock on computers at 09:00 PST, 12:00 EDT, and 17:00 GMT, January 31.
Besides that, the game will also launch tomorrow on Nintendo Switch. However, there is currently no countdown available for Nintendo on the Nintendo eShop.
