The upcoming Genshin Impact 5.3 update promises an exciting wave of content, including new characters, events, and generous Primogem rewards for players. Leaks suggest that players, whether free-to-play (F2P) or subscribed to premium options, will have numerous opportunities to stockpile Primogems, the game’s coveted in-game currency. This patch also introduces the final Natlan Archon Quests and four new playable characters: the Pyro Traveler (free for all players), and banner-exclusive units Lan Yan, Citlali, and Mavuika.

Based on leaks shared by Hiragara, F2P players can expect to earn approximately 15,545 Primogems, translating to about 97 pulls in the update. This calculation spans the patch’s likely duration of January 1 to February 12, covering daily commissions, events, and other activities. For instance, completing daily commissions over 43 days can yield 2,520 Primogems, while major events like the Lantern Rite Festival and Beetle Battle event may provide an estimated 3,760 Primogems combined. The Imaginarium Theater and Spiral Abyss activities can contribute an additional 1,600 and 800 Primogems, respectively.

Story-related rewards also play a significant role, with 730 Primogems anticipated from new quests, including the Archon Quests, alongside 220 Primogems from achievements. Additional minor sources include 5 star character trial runs (80 Primogems), update maintenance compensation (600 Primogems), and promo codes (360 Primogems). These totals collectively offer a robust base for F2P players aiming for new 5-star characters like Citlali and Mavuika.

Players subscribing to the Blessing of the Welkin Moon can significantly increase their Primogem earnings to 19,325, equating to 120 pulls. Combining the Welkin Moon with the premium battle pass pushes this figure to 20,645, or roughly 129 pulls. These paid resources improve the chances of obtaining desired characters or weapons, but diligent participation in daily activities remains essential to maximizing these benefits.

The other endgame activity, Spiral Abyss, should provide players with a good amount of Primogems if cleared during the period and the leak shows that 800 Primogems can be claimed from Spiral Abyss. In terms of story-related rewards, players will be able to obtain 730 free Primogems from the new quests added in Version 5.3, which already includes the 500 extra Primogems that players get from clearing the Version 5.3 Archon Quests during Version 5.3 and the new Achievements in Version 5.3 can reward players with 220 Primogems in Genshin Impact.

While these estimates provide a promising outlook, actual rewards may vary depending on HoYoverse’s final distribution and players’ ability to complete all activities. Players who miss out on challenging content like the Spiral Abyss or fail to log in daily might not reach the projected totals. Similarly, if the patch schedule changes or extends beyond six weeks, the Primogem count could increase.
