2023 Malaysia Open women’s singles latest results, day 3 schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & second-round draw
Despite managing to pose strong challenge against former world champion Carolina Marin, sixth-seeded Indian ace PV Sindhu crashed out after losing by score of 12-21, 21-10, 15-21 in the first-round of 2023 Malaysia Open. Meanwhile, fellow Indian shuttler Malvika Bansod suffered straight-set defeat against second-seed An Se-young, thereby ending her title hopes. In another match, reigning Olympic champion Chen Yufei secured comfortable straight-set win versus Japanese star Nozomi Okuhara and qualified for the second-round.
This competition will run from January 10 through January 15 at KL Sports City’s Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur. 2023 Malaysia Open: BWF points award system
All contestants will be looking to start off strong by winning the renowned BWF Super 1000 tournament because this event will serve as the launch of the 2023 BWF World Tour. Each category champion at the 2023 Malaysia Open will receive 12,000 BWF points, providing them an edge on the 2023 BWF World Tour. Due to her early exit, PV Sindhu of India will only collect 3,000 BWF points and won’t be able to considerably advance in the BWF World Rankings.

2023 Malaysia Open: prize money distribution
