According to reports, the brutal s*xual assault of the young minor girl took place in front of her fiancé.
The police have arrested eight accused in connection with a gruesome incident of gang r*pe after the victim was gang r*ped in broad daylight in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh. The 16 year old victim had come to visit a picnic point, Nadrai Aqueduct, at Hazara Canal with her fiance.
While police have arrested eight of the ten accused, including Akhilesh Pratap Singh, two of them are still on the run.

A shocking incident took place in Kasganj district in Uttar Pradesh after a BJP leader named Akhilesh Pratap Singh aka Gabbar was accused in a gang r*pe case. Gabbar was among the ten men who were accused of abducting and gang-r*ping a young woman. According to reports, the attackers allegedly caught the 16 year old minor girl and her age 20 fiancé while they were out for a walk. The group held the man hostage before going on to r*pe the woman right in front of him.
The tragic incident reportedly took place in Kasganj when the young woman and her fiancé were out for a walk. A group of 10 men, including Akhilesh, forcibly took them to another location before carrying out the gruesome act. The brutal act triggered an immediate response from a special response team comprising officers from Kasganj. According to reports, two of the suspects are still absconding, with authorities making efforts to trace them.
“Several men forcibly took me to a secluded area and violated me one by one. They had come on motorcycles and, at first, started passing lewd remarks. Then, some of them grabbed my friend and began targeting me. After nearly two hours, my friend and I were allowed to go. They also took away my gold earrings,” the survivor said in her complaint.
“The accused dragged the girl to a room built on Hazara Canal. The accused kept threatening the fiance by beating him outside. The accused r*ped the victim one by one inside the room,” the police said.
The accused have been identified as Akhilesh Pratap Singh, Amit Kumar, Sonu, Rinku, Ajay Kumar, Saurabh, Brijesh Kumar, and Sonu Kumar and out of these, Akhilesh Pratap Singh has been identified as a member of the BJP and is closely associated with party MLA Devendra Singh from Kasganj.

Following the arrest, Gabbar is now facing several charges, including gang r*pe, abduction, and criminal conspiracy. The local Kasganj police, while confirming his involvement, also linked him to several past criminal cases. The Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Bharti, assured the public that they would take strict legal action against the accused. The UP Women’s Commission also spoke out about taking a strong stance, with their member Renu Gaur stating how her team visited the victim. Gaur also emphasized that all of the accused would face severe consequences.
