The Gautam Buddha Cricket League 2023, one of the most anticipated domestic leagues of the year, is scheduled to begin today. From Thursday, December 7, it will go on till Saturday, December 23.

Like other leagues, this will also have multiple teams that will play each other twice during the Twenty20 Cricket competition. It means the league promises to include some exciting matchups. There are 33 exciting games planned in all, which will lead to two intense semifinals and the championship match.
The participating teams in this maiden Gautam Buddha Cricket League 2023 include Madhubani’s 11, Patna Panthers, Phalgu Sharks, Rajgir Tigers, Ruins Gladiators, and Sheikhpura Eagles. All the cricketing action is slated to unfold exclusively at the Sonepur Railways Stadium in Patna.
Notably, this league marks the second domestic cricket event in Bihar, following the Bihar Cricket League T20 held in 2021. There were five teams in the 2021 league, and the Darbhanga Diamonds won the championship.
What is more significant about Gautam Buddha Cricket League 2023 is that it will feature four significant players from Bihar who recently competed for Bihar in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. One of these well-known players is Bipin Saurabh, who put up a great display and finished third in the run-scoring standings after scoring an astounding 420 runs in just seven games.
