Sana Ganguly is the daughter of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly and renowned Odissi dancer Dona Ganguly, who was born on November 3, 2001. Growing up surrounded by a rich cultural and athletic background, Sana played various sports and engaged in all sorts of arts. She is a trained Odissi dancer, just like her mother, and received classical music training from Kaushiki Chakraborty. Sana is currently just 22 years old.
Educational qualifications
Sana Ganguly obtained her early education from La Martiniere for Girls, in Kolkata and later from Loreto House School in Kolkata, which is one of India’s most prestigious educational institutions. She excelled in academics, and most notably achieved a remarkable 98 percentile during her Class 12 board exams. She later moved abroad to London, where she attended University College London (UCL). Sana graduated with a BSc in Economics from one of England’s oldest universities.
After graduating, Sana completed a summer school program at the University of Oxford and is currently pursuing the CFA certification. She is currently focusing on studies related to financial analysis and investment management.
Career
Despite expectations of following in her father’s cricketing footsteps or in her mother’s dancing career, Sana Ganguly has instead chosen to make a name for herself in the world of finance and economics. Sana has previously held internship roles at leading global firms such as PwC and Deloitte. At PwC, she served as an intern, with a package of up to ₹30 lakh per annum.
Aside from serving in various internships, Sana has also held a position in wealth management at American Investment banking company, Morgan Stanley. She has also worked with several other prominent financial institutions throughout her studies at UCL. Having served in several roles spanning across various functions, Sana Ganguly has obtained a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry.
