Witnesses claimed that after engaging in a conversation with the incensed mob, ASP Shehrbano Naqvi expertly convinced them to let the police handle the matter legally and secure justice. She physically protected the upset woman amid the chaos, escorting her to a safe place as other cops cleared a way for them to get through the crowd.

Shehrbano Naqvi is a renowned Pakistani police officer. She has been in the news because she was recommended for the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal for rescuing a woman from a violent mob in a Lahore hotel.
While she is married, the name of her husband isn’t known.
She was born on 23rd September 1998 in Lahore, Pakistan. Following graduation, she pursued a career in public management. She later passed the 2019 CSS test. She then worked for the Intelligence Bureau as an assistant director.ย

Beyond her work responsibilities, Shehrbano Naqvi had a lasting impact by starting organizations like Datta Darbar and Tahaffuz (Protection) Center, which both work to protect women and children in danger. She has also been the driving force behind the opening of daycare facilities inside police lines, putting the welfare of officers and their families first.
Notably, ASP Naqvi successfully advocated for the banning of euthanasia for police dogs.
