Following a search in Mobile County, missing bodybuilder Joe Ladnier was discovered deceased. According to investigators, his body was found 600 feet from his parked truck, close to a mobile tower.

When the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department found Ladnier, it had already enlisted the help of Mobile County detectives and the United Cajun Navy in addition to the original search party for the missing powerlifter.
The fact that Ladnier required daily anti-rejection medicine following kidney transplant surgery added to Joe’s family’s concerns after his absence. The sheriff’s office in Mobile County initiated an official search after requesting assistance.
Around 200 yards from Ladnier’s abandoned truck, their dogs and the Jackson County K-9 team guided them to his remains, according to United Cajun Navy Vice President Brian Thrasher.
Who was Joe Ladnier?
Joe Ladnier was the first person to surpass the 2100 lb mark in the squat, deadlift, and bench press. In 1983 in the USPF Men’s Senior Nationals, he broke the powerlifting record. When he was 19-year-old, he lifted 950 kg, which was incredible.
Ladnier was a Navy and law enforcement veteran in addition to bodybuilding and powerlifting. In addition to being a fitness coach, he ran a gym in Hurley.
Approximately 20 miles outside Mobile, near Chunchula, Alabama, authorities discovered Ladnier’s red Toyota Tundra truck sitting in an “abandoned driveway” on Thursday. Approximately £100 in cash, an empty pistol holder, a laptop, a computer bag, a pillow and other items were found inside Ladnier’s truck by Mobile sheriff’s authorities.

Joe Ladnier is survived by his wife Lori, his 10 children one of whose name is Taylor Manning, his daughter, and his 14 grandchildren.
Taylor sent out a help request to the bodybuilding and powerlifting community, continuously. She created hashtags like #bringjoehome and shared TikTok videos on a regular basis in an effort to reach as many people as possible.

It is not known yet what caused the 60-year-old to pass away.
Police are yet to state whether they are treating the death as a homicide and an investigation is underway to determine cause of death and after news reached him, Ladnier’s son Joey Ladnier penned a heartfelt tribute to his father.
