Who’s Mattia Binotto?
Mattia Binotto, who’s an Italian engineer as well as the boss of Scuderia Ferrari, was born in Lausanne, Switzerland on November 3, 1969 with his height at 6 feet 2 inches.
The 53-year-old Principal of Formula One team was appointed for the role back in January 2019 after he replaced Maurizio Arrivabene.
The Swiss-born engineer completed a Bachelor’s degree at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in mechanical engineering in 1994.
After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree, he went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Motor Vehicle Engineering from the University of Modena.
In 1995, Binotto joined hands with Scuderia Ferrari for their engine department team. In 2013, he became the Head of the Engine department before and later in 2016, he became the Chief Technical Officer.
Finally, in 2019, he managed to become the top operations of the F1 team i.e, Team Principal of the Scuderia Ferrari.
However, Mattia wasn’t just serving as the Principal of the team but he was also partially responsible for the technical department.
In an earlier interview with Ferrari magazine, the 53-year-old engineer told the outlet that he also serves for the marketing, sponsorship, communications and legal duties.
