Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash. Along with two top local officials and Iran’s foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, President Raisi, aged 63, perished in the chopper. The plane went missing in the northwest Iranian highlands, and the accident has a big impact on the political system and leadership of the nation.

Jamileh Alamolhoda was born in 1965 and is aged either 59 years old. She is the eldest daughter of Ahmad Alamolhoda, a member of the Assembly of Experts and the head of the Friday prayer in Mashhad. In 2001, Tarbiat Modares University awarded Alamolhoda a PhD in the discipline of philosophy of education.
She was born in prominent ultra-conservative clerical family in the holy city of Mashhad. Her father Ayatollah Ahmad Alamolhoda is the Friday Prayer imam of Mashhad and the Supreme Leader’s representative in Khorasan province. Alamolhoda’s father is also a member of the Assembly of Experts, an eighty-eight-member clerical body tasked with appointing the Supreme Leader and in 1983, when Alamolhoda was just eighteen-years-old, she married Raisi. While married, Alamolhoda got her bachelor’s degree in midwifery. Alamolhoda then switched to studying education and received a PhD in educational sciences from the Tarbiat Moddares University.
The couple has two daughters. One holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Sharif University of Technology and the second one holds a Doctorate in sociology from the University of Tehran.

Jamileh Alamolhoda career
Jamileh Alamolhoda was hired as an associate professor in the Department of Leadership and Educational Development at Shahid Beheshti University’s School of Educational Sciences and Psychology.
She is a professor at Shahid Beheshti University, where she teaches doctoral courses in subjects including educational views, philosophical schools, anthropology of Islam, instructional methodologies, and theoretical underpinnings of educational management.
Alamolhoda managed the Humanities Research Institute as its director. She is the director of Shahid Beheshti University’s Institute of Fundamental Studies of Science and Technology, which she launched in 2013.
The mission of this research institute is to propose science and technology policy approaches that are grounded in an analysis and appraisal of the social and epistemological dimensions of science and technology. The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution nominated her as secretary of the “Council for the Transformation and Renovation of the Educational System of the Country” in March 2020.
