Sadly, former Michigan Wolverines defensive star Craig Roe passed away following a quiet fight with colon cancer.

The unfortunate news was announced by his wife Chelsea Roh. The last eighteen months have seen the former defensive end for the Michigan Wolverines, fight colon cancer secretly. She took over Craig’s official X account and posted:

This is @mrschelsearoh, Craig’s wife. I wanted to let all of his followers know that after an 18-month battle with Stage IV colon cancer, God brought Craig home on Monday, February 26th. Craig was not very public with his battle, as he truly just wanted to focus on bringing the best content and building the best products he could.

In honour of the former college football player who passed away at the age of 33 from cancer, fundraising has been started. She further continued:

Who was Craig Roh?

Craig Robert Roh was an American professional football player and an NFL and Canadian Football League (NFL) defensive end who was born on January 25, 1991, in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S. The 33-year-old measured 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m) tall.

A look at Craig Roh’s career

In addition to winning the 2009 Scholar-Athlete Award from the College Football Hall of Fame, he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Arizona for the 2008–2009 academic year.

As a true freshman, he started all 12 games as a “hybrid linebacker” for the Michigan Wolverines, where he played college football starting in 2009. In 2012, he was named to the Big Ten’s second-team all-conference.
