I got no words,I was more than prepared
but so grateful to be among the amazing women’s

Who is Betsy Saina?
Betsy Saina is an American-Kenyan long-distance runner. She currently represents the United States and was born in Kenya on June 30, 1988. The 35 years old runner stands 5 ft 6 in (1.68 m) tall.
A look at Betsy Saina’s career
In an effort to attend Itigo Girls High School, she started jogging as a teenager in Eldoret, Kenya. Scouts and recruiters took notice of her performance at the African Juniors National Championship.
Her personal best records include 3000 m: 8:38.01 (Brussels, Belgium 2014), 5000 m: 14:39.49 (Monaco 2014), 10000 m: 30:07.78 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 2016), Half marathon: 1:07:49 (Marugame, Japan 2019) Marathon: 2:21:40 (Tokyo, Japan 2023).
The 35-year-old, who competed for Kenya in the 10,000m at the Rio 2016 Olympics, finished fifth.
Betsy Saina’s family
