Jorrel Hato is a Dutch football player. He has been in the news because Arsenal is trying to sign him after Jurrien Timber’s departure due to injury.

He was born on 7 March 2006 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He has Curaçaoan and Cape Verdean roots.

His height is 1.82 meters or 6 feet, and he is currently 17 years old.

His career

In 2018, Jorrel Hato moved to Ajax from Sparta Rotterdam. Signing an extension in March 2022 until 2025, he exhibited leadership as Ajax’s youth team captain, notably scoring a solo goal in the UEFA Youth League against Napoli.

In January 2023, he made his senior debut in a KNVB Cup match against Den Bosch. He then made his Eredivisie debut, making him the third-youngest player in Ajax history. He was also included in the 2023 KNVB Cup final and earned The Guardian as one of the standout global players.

Playing for his country, Jorrel Hato ascended from the Dutch under-16 squad to captaining them in 2022.
