Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was in no mood to indulge in the celebrations with him storming off the podium after the Saudi Arabian GP 2021
The maiden edition of the Saudi Arabian GP is one which will live on in the minds of motorsports aficionados.
With a tricky Jeddah track offering a slew of notable moments and controversial incidents, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen found themselves in the thick of things as well. With both the drives going at loggerheads for the championship title in F1 2021, things were bound to turn ugly between the two on the night.
And as per script, both found themselves once again sparring after The FIA asked Verstappen to given second place to Hamilton with the Red Bull man slowing up to allow the Brit to overtake him.

However, Hamilton who apparently had no idea of what Verstappen was trying to do as per Mercedes went onto slam into the Dutch driver’s rear with Hamilton’s wing coming under damage. Verstappen was subsequently handed two penalty points and handed a 10 second penalty as he finished second to Hamilton on the night.

Verstappen was livid with the entire set of events with the driver of the day talking about how he didn’t agree with how things had turned up on the night. He also went onto storm down the podium after the race had ended as Hamilton and Bottas turned to each other to spray champagne.
Verstappen also refused to make eye contact with Hamilton during the time he was on the podium. Both the drivers are now on level points ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021.
