The BWF World Tour Finals were founded in 2018. The first tournament was played in Guangzhou, China. The tournament comes under the BWF World Tour which is a series of badminton tournaments for the top-tiered badminton players in the singles as well as the doubles category. The tournament is currently underway from December 1, 2021, to December 5, 2021, at the Bali International Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia.
The tournament is sponsored by HSBC. HSBC is a banking and investment company established in Hong Kong in 2008. The BWF World Tour Finals is managed by the Badminton World Federation, also known as the BWF.
