According to the recent news he broke his spine in the terrible incident During lap 6, the 20-year-old battled with Thomas Preining, and their collision in turn 8 sent both of their cars hurtling off the circuit and into the barrier. After the collision, the Mercedes driver was first given the all-clear before being brought to the hospital.

The German driver, though, has a shattered back, according to recent examinations. Ralf Schumacher, David’s father, disclosed that he fractured his lumbar vertebra and is currently needed to wear a corset.
