Lost for words, Anthony Taylor is a fraud sent to officiate against Chelsea in big games. Romero pulled Cucurella hair in front of him and he said nothing?? Even the VAR saw nothing wrong?? Shameless and disgraceful officiating #AnthonyTaylorOut pic.twitter.com/DYJdwLp2LV

Chelsea vs Tottenham Match Goals Summary
Let’s take a look at the goals in the match to understand the circumstances that led to the petition against Anthony Taylor.
Chelsea and Tottenham had an exciting faceoff on Sunday, with the Blues going ahead in the first half. New signing Kalidou Koulibaly, scored an excellent goal via a set-piece, opening the score-line for the match.
Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg followed up in the 68th minute with an absolute beauty, striking the net with a superb finish. The goal was surrounded by controversy, however, as the Chelsea players felt Kai Havertz had been fouled early on in the build up.
Moreover, Richarlison, was in an offside position during the goal and seemed to be obstructing Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy’s view. Reece James then went on to make the score 2-1 for Chelsea, with the Blues dominating possession.
Tottenham refused to back down, however, scoring a late equaliser in injury time through Harry Kane. This was just after Cristian Romero appeared to pull Marc Curucella’s hair, which VAR did nothing about.
Chelsea Fans Sign Petition
Bolstered by all the controversial decisions that Anthony Taylor made in the match, Chelsea fans have shown their contempt by creating and signing a petition on Change.org. Fans have created the petition as an appeal to stop him from officiating their future games.
The petition has a description stating:
Anthony Taylor has continued to make big decisions against Chelsea over the years in big matches. Taylor has an agenda against Chelsea and should not be allowed to referee a game involving the club again.
Besides this, the fans listed eight decisions made by Taylor against their team in the past, including those from Sunday’s game.
Anthony Taylor’s Officiating Controversies
It is not the first time that the 43-year-old has been clouded by controversies. Taylor has a history of previous decisions that went viral for the wrong reasons in the past. Tuchel was also unhappy with the official’s decision to send both him and Antonio Conte off at full time after the pair had clashed several times during the match.
Chelsea fans are not the only ones who have been unhappy with Anthony Taylor in the past. Liverpool supporters also do not favour him being in charge of their games.
Taylor, who hails from Manchester, openly supports non-league Altrincham FC. Red Devil fans in the past have also had issues with him taking charge of matches against Manchester City and Manchester United.
Last season, Jurgen Klopp’s side benefited from Taylor’s decisions against City, as they were lucky to have avoided two players being sent off.
