Influencer Katherine Asplundh, who resides in New York City, was charged with intimidating an Instagram user due to her username
According to the alleged screenshots, Katherine Drisc, a woman, is texting the user to inquire about buying their username because Asplundh as it is her new married name.
The exchange between Katherine Asplundh and another woman went viral after being shared on the NYCinfluencersnark forum on social media site Reddit.According to the screenshots that are doing rounds on social media, a lady identifying herself as a part-time influencer messages the user to inquire about buying their username, Asplundh, since it happens to be her new name.

“This just happened today and I use this account to post and archive photos I don’t want to post on my main account. I would have given her my username for free but her attitude threw me off,” the user said. She also mentioned that she was harassed.
“Hi congrats! That’s my name too,” the person said. They went on to say that they are not interested in selling their username because doing so will get them banned from Instagram.
The woman then says, ‘celebrities do it all the time’, further adding that it is strange to come across another person with the same name – Katherine Asplundh. The user again refused.
The influencer then replied, stating that she reported her account and doesn’t think the person’s identity is indeed Katherine Asplundh. Next, the user is charged with “pretending to be someone.” Then the woman mentioned that “the only Asplundh family in the US” is her husband’s family.
The influencer is said to have married into a billionaire family that knows Dr. Oz and fitness expert Tracy Anderson. Carl Asplundh, the maternal grandfather of Dr. Oz’s wife Lisa, co-founded Asplundh Tree Experts Co., which is owned by the Asplundh family, according to the media reports.
It is said that Dr. Oz and Lisa are shareholders in the business. However, the Asplundh family is connected to other famous people as well.
