36-year-old Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, a dual Spanish and Brazilian national from Newham, is accused of murder following several stabbings on Tuesday morning in northeast London, which left 14 year old Daniel dead and four others injured. He has also been charged with attempted murder counts, two counts of grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article, and aggravated burglary.

Monzo is charged with assaulting two people with a sword after he allegedly crashed a van into a fence in Laing Close on Tuesday just before seven in the morning. He is said to have then killed Daniel and gravely injured two police officers, one of whom almost lost her hand, while they attempted to stop him.
The cops took Monzo to the hospital after he got injured while crashing the van. Police have verified more details regarding the events leading up to the deadly sword attack in east London. Monzo will be appearing in Barkingside magistrates court on May 2, 2024.
