NHL 2021 Expansion Draft Results: Complete List Of Seattle Kraken, Picks, Roster And Players

The 2021 season of NHL has begun as Seattle Kraken officially unveiled their roster and players during the NHL expansion draft results

Seattle Kraken built their roster and selected a player from every team except the Vegas Golden Knights as part of the NHL Expansion Draft. General manager Ron Francis announced the 30 players during a special broadcast on ESPN. Big names like Sue Bird, Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton and Marshawn Lynch helped him take the decision. Expansion Draft Results: Seattle Kraken Roster And Picks For NHL 2021

Seattle had to pick at least fourteen forwards, nine defensemen and three goalies. Twenty of the thirty players selected had to have contracts for 2021-22 and all of these had to be cap-compliant (the cap ceiling for 2021-22 is $81.5 million). However, the Golden Knights were exempt from losing any players.

ESPN also announced that on 12th October, Seattle Kraken will battle NHL’s second-newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights, on the road before hosting the Vancouver Canucks on 23rd October. Kraken hope their updated roster will lead to a fast start against the Golden Knights.
