Richarlison ended up wiping the floor with Germany as he scored a 30 minute hattrick for Brazil in Tokyo Olympics 2020
Although the Tokyo Olympics won’t be officially declared open till tomorrow, a slew of events have already gotten underway at the marquee events. And one of those is football with both the men’s and women’s U23 matches taking place across the last couple of days.
Thursday gave us an extremely matchup in the sport with both Brazil and Germany locking heads at the showpiece games. Although these sides were lined up with manifold young names, the identity of these starlets made this an encounter to revel in.
It turned out to be a complete and utter domination for Brazil when the two took on each other. And it was down to Everton’s Richarlison who wiped the floor with the Germans as he punched above his weight to net a first half hattrick.

Opening the score for his side in the 7th minute, Richarlison needed a measly 30 minutes to wrap up his hattrick. It was a sensational bit of effort from him, one which saw Germany head into the break chasing a 3-0 deficit.

Brazil could have ended up with a four goal lead prior to the whistle being blown had it not been for Matheus Cunha’s penalty being saved. While we still have 45 minutes to go in the contest, the fixture looks all but wrapped up with three goals too tricky to erase.
For Richarlison, the hattrick couldn’t have come at a more ideal time. Languid and dreary in the Copa America, the Everton man endured a horrid campaign with him struggling for form apart from the one good game.
Inconsistency has been a massive deterrent in his game across the last couple of years. Despite him showcasing his mettle in abundance, he’s waned and regressed way too frequently to refrain from becoming the Premier League outfit’s focal point in attack.
