Bill Gates and Dolly Chaiwala meet-up
American tech billionaire Bill Gates recently visited India for almost a week earlier this year. During the visit, he met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also the extravagant Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding event. During the visit, he also “collaborated” with Dolly Chaiwala, the stylish tea-maker. Bill Gates also shared a video of himself on Instagram drinking tea at Dolly Chaiwala’s stall during his trip. The clip starts off with Gates asking the teamaker, “One chai, please,” before cutting to a shot of Dolly performing his flamboyant style of serving the tea. The video has since gone viral across social media, sparking all kinds of reactions.
Truth behind Dolly Chaiwala as Windows 12 Brand Ambassador explored
As soon as the Gates-Chaiwala video went viral, rumours about the vlogger being revealed as the “brand ambassador” for Windows 12 started popping up. The rumour sparked a lot of interest from netizens across the country and on social media. However, upon further investigation, the viral claim was proven to be just a hoax.
The Bindu Times, which is a satirical news parody account on Instagram, first posted the now-viral rumour. In the update, which is dated February 29, the account itself states that the content is “only for satire” purposes. Moreover, Microsoft has still not announced a release date for Windows 12, let alone announce its collaboration with Dolly Chaiwala.
Such major developments are usually accompanied by an official press release or communication. But neither Microsoft nor Bill Gates have so far released any statements related to it.
