The video of the incident became instant viral on the internet, subsequently leading to her public identification and then termination from her job.

The 6-seconds video, which has now taken over the internet, shows Angie Báez emptying the limited edition orange-and-blue city trash-can of New York Knicks on the sidewalk and taking it with her during the Knicks championship parade.
Separate videos features her walking away with the public trash-cans and riding the New York City subway.
After the video hit social media platforms, it became instantly viral as everyone was curious about the identity of the woman, leading her information became available, which led her employer, JP Morgan Chase, a banking giant, to terminate her employment status.
A corporate spokesperson confirmed the same to the media outlets, by saying, “This employee is no longer with the company.”
Who is Angie Báez?
Although, limited information is available about Angie Báez, however, reports reveal her to be 40-years-old.

Reportedly, Angie Báez was born in the Bronx, New York. As per her social media profile, she is a first generation American of Dominican heritage.
She was employed by JPMorgan Chase as Executive Director of Community and Industry Engagement for Card and Connected Commerce and was fired following the incident.
Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, Báez served as Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at The Infatuation, a New York-based restaurant review and media company.

Legal Status
As per NYPD, so far there is no official complaint lodged against her, therefore, no arrest has been made.
However, under New York law, stealing property under $1000 is classified as petit larceny, a most common theft in the city and is legally classified as a ‘Class A Misdemeanor.’
