Ashwini Ponnappa will be the star of the Indian doubles squad in the mixed doubles division at 2022 Commonwealth Games, while Satwik and Chirag will compete for the men’s doubles title. In the women’s doubles event, duo of Gayathri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly will be eager to prove themselves on big stage.

At the Delhi Commonwealth Games, Ashwini and Jwala Gutta won India’s first women’s doubles gold medal and earned the trophy.. Ashwini has now won the women’s doubles medal in each of the previous three competitions, but this time she was unable to compete after losing the finals of the selection trials due to N Sikki Reddy’s injury.
