Tia Jones is an American professional track and field athlete who was born on September 8, 2000 in Pflugerville, TX. Jones specializes in hurdles and gained national attention as a high school track star, breaking multiple records. She later signed with Adidas before competing at the highest level, after making it to the semifinals of the 2024 U.S. Olympic trials.
Tia Jones was a senior at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia and the high school national record holder in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 12.84. Tia Jones decided to forego her college commitment to the University of Oregon and turn professional after she signed with Kimberly Holland and ICON Management, which lists clients such as Tori Bowie, Will Claye, and LaShawn Merritt on their roster.

Relationship with Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy first reached out to Tia Jones on social media, but she didn’t respond to his initial message. Their encounter felt like fate, and Worthy eventually reached out to her again to ask her on a date. While reflecting on the moment, Jones later said:
