2022 Japan Open Badminton Men’s Singles Second Round Results, Score, Winners, And Indian Performance
The 2021 men’s badminton world champion was eliminated on Thursday in the second round of the 2022 Japan Open after failing to defeat Prannoy H.S. At the Maruzen Intec Arena in Osaka, Loh held game point in the first set and led by as much as 14-7 in the second, but Prannoy defeated her 22-20, 21-19. Prannoy believed he caught a break against Loh. Prannoy will take on the seasoned Chou Tien Chen on Friday.
After a string of surprising results, third-seeded Antonsen and fourth-seeded Chou Tien are the only seeded players remaining in men’s singles event. Hence, India’s loan survivor HS Prannoy stands a strong chance to win the gold medal.
