2022 Hylo Open, which will be held in cooperation with German organizer and BWF, is the nineteenth competition on 2022 BWF World Tour. This important BWF World Tour Super 300 event is currently being held in Saarbrücken, Germany at the Saarlandhalle.

2022 Hylo Open Badminton Women’s Singles Results Today, Score, Winners, & Upcoming Draw

On Tuesday, third-seeded Japanese ace Nozomi Okuhara defeated USA shuttler Lauren Lam via straight sets during 2022 Hylo Open’s first-round matches by score of 23-21, 21-15, to advance towards second-round. Another tie saw eighth-seeded Danish shuttler Line Christophersen defeating Welsh shuttler Hart in straight sets, 21-10, 21-18. While eighth-seeded Christophersen resumes her campaign against in-form Chinese shuttler Zhang Yiman on Thursday, Okuhara will play her second-round encounter against Qi Xuefei.

Indian superstar Saina Nehwal will face fourth-seeded Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the 2022 Hylo Open’s first-round matches on Wednesday. Aakarshi Kashyap will begin her Hylo Open campaign in another encounter against French shuttler Huet. Elsewhere, Malvika Bansod will battle against Azurmendi Moreno of Spain in a difficult matchup. Points Award System

According to the BWF Points System, the winner of women’s singles competition at 2022 Hylo Open, one of the BWF World Tour Super 300 tournaments, will receive 7,000 BWF points, and the runner-up will receive 5,950 points. Due to the absence of top-ranked shuttlers like Akane Yamaguchi and Tai Tzu-ying from the Hylo Open, Carolina Marin and Saina Nehwal, both of whom have won medals at previous world championships, have decent chance to accumulate high amount of BWF points from this contest and rise in the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution

The winner of women’s singles category will get $13,500 from the $180,000 total prize fund of 2022 Hylo Open. Additionally, instead of each semi-finalist receiving $2,610 in prize money, the women’s singles runner-up will receive a total of $6,840. Taiwanese superstar Pai Yu-po lost in the opening round and will not receive any prize money.
