Antonio Conte has been appointed as the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo, read on to know about his contract details and salary 

Italian manager Antonio Conte is all set to start his 18-month tenure at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium after news of Nuno Santo’s sacking came out post Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester United over the weekend. The Portuguese manager was in-charge of Spurs for only a total of 17 matches. Conte was the first-choice for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy when the head coach position at the club was vacant in the summer.

Conte has signed an 18-month deal with Tottenham with an option to extend as talks with the North London club’s hierarchy went fruitful on Monday. The 52-year old Italian manager was last seen at Inter Milan where he guided the Italian club to win their first Serie A title since the 2009-10 season. Conte was also the major factor behind Chelsea winning the Premier League title in the 2016-17 season after which the Blues also went on to win the FA Cup.

This is what Conte said to the Spurs’ website, “I am extremely happy to return to coaching, and to do so at a Premier League club that has the ambition to be a protagonist again.” He further added that he cannot wait to start working to convey to the team and the fans the passion, mentality and determination that distinguishes him as a player, and as a coach.

Antonio Conte Tottenham contract details, salary and duration of deal

The deal with Spurs has made Conte one of the top-earning managers in the Premier League. His 18-month deal with the club is worth 30 million UK pounds. Daniel Levy has fixed a salary of 20 million pounds a year for Conte so that the Italian manager can lift Tottenham and guide the club to success as Conte was seen doing at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter.

The 52-year old manager, who is now the head coach will remain with the club for the next 18 months i.e. till 2023, with an option to extend. Now the question is, can Spurs finish in top 4 in the League after Conte’s arrival? Only time will tell.
