The Chicago Bulls player Patrick Williams suffered an injury last Thursday when his team faced of against New York Knicks. Not only did the Bulls went on to lose the game they lost their second year forward Patrick Williams. Patrick Williams suffered an injury to his hand in the third quarter when he was trying to dunk. New York Knicks player Mitchell Robinson went up in an attempt to block the dunk and delivered a blow to his face. Because of this Williams fell awkwardly on the court and which resulted in a wrist injury for the Chicago Bulls player. He was sent to the free throw line, and managed to score both free throws, however, Williams proceeded to leave the court shortly after.
The Chicago Bulls later announced that Williams had tore his ligaments and will require a surgery to repair the ligaments. The Bulls broke out the news that Williams is set to miss out on four to six months of action in the NBA. It is worrying for the team as the youngster was starting to get in the flow of things and this massive break from the sport can drastically effect his performances. From what it looks like Williams will miss out on the rest of season.
On an individual level it is very worrying for the 20 year old as well. Just before the season started he suffered an ankle sprain and then a shoulder injury. Now that he is set to miss out on the rest of the season Williams will have to start from scratch in order to get to the level he was and also to build chemistry with his teammates.
