Who Is Rakshit Shetty?
Rakshit Shetty is a well-known Indian filmmaker and actor who is known for his work in the Kannada film industry. He has been in the news because of his outstanding work in the blockbuster movie “Kantara.”
He was born on June 6, 1983, in Udupi. His family belongs to the Tulu-speaking Bunt community.
He finished his schooling in his hometown. He was a passionate performer of the Tulu Nadu folk dance known as Pili Nalike during his time at school. At the N.M.A.M. Institute of Technology, Nitte, Karkala, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications engineering before beginning his film career.
He started dating Rashmika Mandanna while filming “Kirik Party.” But in September 2018, the pair mutually decided to call off their engagement, claiming compatibility problems.
His height is 6 ft 2 inches or 1.87 m. Presently, he is 39 years old. His father’s name is Shridhar Shetty and his mother’s name is Ranjini Shetty and has an elder brother Ranjith Shetty and a sister, Rashmi Shetty.
His Career
Rakshit Shetty spent two years working as a software professional after graduation before commencing his acting career in theatre.
He started off making short films like “Let’s Kill Gandhi” and many more unpublished projects. The majority of the movies he was in were lost throughout his acting career.
He later made his debut in feature films with “Tuglak” and “Nam Areal Ond Dina.” “Simple Agi Ondh Love Story” was his first widely popular hit which was released in 2013. He is renowned for emphasizing the success of the Dakshina Kannada area in the Kannada film industry.
