You must play the daily word game if you haven’t already. To guess a five-letter word, you get six chances. Each guess indicates whether you have the correct letter in the wrong location, the correct letter in the wrong place, or the incorrect letter.
Except for the occasion when the word was “knoll” and everyone on the internet went insane, each guess is designed to draw you closer.
The worst thing about Wordle (which is perfect in and of itself) is that you can only play it once each day! What are we going to do with the next 23 hours and 55 minutes?! To scratch that itch, here are some amusing Wordle-like possibilities.
Similar Games To Wordle To Try If You Love Online Puzzle Games
WORDLE ARCHIVE
Once you’ve become addicted to Wordle, your first destination should be the Wordle Archive, which is managed by another wonderful soul, Devang Thankkar, rather than Wordle’s founder, Josh Wardle.
It’s similar to Wordle, except you may keep playing it. Each time you load it up, you’ll get yesterday’s puzzle, but the only way to fly is to press the Random button, which will drop you right into the middle of a long-ago Wordle.
LEWDLE
It’s similar to Wordle in that it’s updated once a day, but only with dirty words. And let me tell you, thinking of solely nasty words rather than all words is a little more difficult.
That, however, is Lewdle for you. It’s a blatant Wordle clone that, to its credit, goes out of its way to inform you about and direct you to the official Wordle website.
LINGO
Online Lingo may have the look, feel, and play of a 1990s Flash game, but it’s got it where it counts.
Imagine Wordle, but with the following changes: possible words can be five or six letters long, you get the first letter for free (plus another random one if you play the six-letter version), you only get five guesses, you can guess nonsensical words, and the corresponding keys on the keyboard aren’t greyed out when you guess incorrectly.
WORD MASTER
You’ve mastered Wordle. Wordle Archive is something you’ve memorised. Lewdle isn’t anything you’re interested in. The lingo is too perplexing. Is it possible for me to pique your interest in Word Master?
This is a Wordle clone to the core, save for a brilliant “Play Again” button that loads fresh puzzles every time you solve one, begging you to try your hand at another.
In addition to Wordle’s regular and hard modes, it has three difficulty levels: easy, normal, and hard. Easy allows you to guess any letter combination, even if it doesn’t make sense; normal requires you to pick acceptable words; and hard requires you to base your next guess solely on prior guesses.
