Northerns signed him in April 2021, ahead of the South African domestic cricket season 2021–22. In the 2021–22 CSA Provincial T20 Knock-Out tournament, he made his Twenty20 debut for the South Africa Under-19s. He was picked to South Africa’s selection for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in November 2021.

In the U-19 world cup, he scored 65 against India 104 against Uganda. In the knockouts, he stepped up to score 97 and guided his team to a respectable score but unfortunately England won the match after solid team game.

He also boasts an impressive record for national team with 9,577 runs in 228 ODI matches.
