On Monday, CP Joshi, the BJP’s state chief, met with JP Nadda, the national president of the party, at Nadda’s house in the capital of India, a day after the BJP’s overwhelming victory in the Rajasthan assembly elections. Joshi also convened with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Shah’s office in Delhi.

Who is CP Joshi?
CP Joshi is an Indian politician associated with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been in the news because he is a potential candidate for the chief ministerial post in Rajasthan.
His full name is Chandra Prakash Joshi. He was born on 4 November 1975 in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India. He belongs to the Brahmin community of the Mewar region. His father’s name is Ramchandra Joshi, and his mother’s name is Sushila Joshi.
CP Joshi did his schooling at Government Senior Secondary School, Chittorgarh. Later on, he completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the Mohanlal Sukhadia University-affiliated Maharana Pratap Government Post-Graduate College.
He is married, and his wife’s name is Jyotsana Joshi, a tutor and costume designer. The couple has two children: a son and a daughter.
He is currently 48 years old.
His career
CP Joshi started his political career as vice president of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) in 1994 and left to join the ABVP in 1996. From 2000 to 2005, he advanced through a variety of positions, such as state committees and district leadership.
He was instrumental in the BJP’s establishment of booth committees and the district-level execution of important programs. With the BJP, he won two Lok Sabha elections.
As an MP, CP Joshi was extensively involved in parliamentary activities, notably presenting the motion of thanks on the President’s address in 2023. Distinguished for his dedication to the preservation of the environment, he started the “Harit Parisar Abhiyan” with the goal of planting a significant quantity of saplings inside the parliamentary constituency.
