In Round 10 of US Chess Championships’ open division matches, Hans Niemann emerged as the lone victor, and he underlined his potential and proclaimed his ambition to win the global championship. Hans Niemann was successful in defeating Moradiabadi Elshan in his Round 10 match, raising his point total to 4.5/10 points. After both players agreed to a draw in Round 10, Ray Robson and Fabiano Caruana’s fight for the championship, however, remained unchanged.

Prestigious US Chess Championships 2022, which began on October 4, are being hosted by Saint Louis Chess Club. The crucial Round 11 matches will be played on Monday after a rare rest day on Sunday. 2022 US Chess Championship Day 10 Results, Score, Winners, Standings, & Round 11 Schedule
At least in the Open division, competitors in round 10 of the US Championship gave in to the seductive song of the rest day. Six of the games saw no player gain a large edge at any time, with Aronian vs. So producing the quickest and most predictable tie. Thalia Cervantes defeated Megan Lee during Round 10 matches of women’s division to earn her third straight victory while jeopardizing her rival’s prospects of winning the crown. Meanwhile, Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova gave it her all to defeat Ashritha Eswaran and win her second straight game. As of the conclusion of Round 10 matches, Jennifer Yu continues to hold the sole advantage with 7/10 points, followed closely by Irina Krush with 6.5/10 points.
Following rare rest day on Sunday, Round 11 matches of US Chess Championships will return on Monday with some exciting matches that include leader Fabiano Caruana against Jeffery Xiong and 2nd placed Ray Robson against Liang in open division. Meanwhile in women’s division, third-placed Gulrukhbegim will clash against Jennifer Yu in a match whose outcome can change course of title.

2022 US Chess Championship Prize Money
The entire prize pool for open division of 2022 US Chess Championships will be $262,000, while the prize pool for women’s division will be $160,500. According to the release, winner of open division will receive $60,000 in prize money, while winner of women’s division will receive $40,000 in prize money.
