What’s exciting?
Iga Swiatek is the most widely predicted winner in the women’s singles division and the top seed. World No. 1 is in excellent form.
Emma Raducanu, who recently lost in the quarterfinals of the Citi Open in Washington, is competing with Swiatek. She is presently ranked No. 10 in the WTA, which is a career-best.
Ons Jabeur, who recently made it to the Wimbledon final, is another serious contender for the crown.
Early on, Anett Kontaveit and Simona Halep are likely to face off, with the winner setting up a potential matchup with Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals.
Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff might also cross paths early on.
Another well-known player to keep an eye on is Maria Sakkari, whose best performance so far this year was making the final at Indian Wells.
The American legends Serena Williams and Venus Williams, who are playing together for the first time since the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, are the final competitors. They are the home favourites.
