The 2022 World’s Strongest Man competition was successfully retained by reigning champion Tom Stoltman, know latest final standings, winner and results
The title of World’s Strongest Man was successfully defended by Tom Stoltman. On Sunday in Sacramento, California, the 27-year-old fended off a challenge from 2020 champion Oleksii Novikov and Martins Licis.

The prize money for World’s Strongest Man has been lower than other high level Strongman contest but first place prize money has been increased from about 47,000 to 75,000 and total prize money is now over 200,000 which may make it the highest total money in all of Strongman.
World’s Strongest Man Last Day Recap and Standings
Stoltman and Novikov were locked in a tight head-to-head battle heading into the last event. In the penultimate event, Stoltman finished second with nine reps of the power stairs in 41.04 seconds. Novikov battled and finished six reps in 34.20 seconds, putting him in second place overall courtesy to the four points he earned.
The Atlas stones, however, repeated Novikov’s terrible luck from the power steps. He completed only four reps in 36.70 seconds, placing him last in the competition. Licis was able to move up the scoreboard as a result of this.
Stoltman’s triumph was ensured thanks to Novikov’s play, and he didn’t have to do anything in the Atlas stones. Nonetheless, he finished five reps in 25.76 seconds to set a new personal best and collect 10 points, putting a bow on his victory. In the end, Stoltman’s steadiness propelled him to a second consecutive championship. He only took first place in the Atlas stones, but he averaged 8.7 points in the five events before that.

2022 World’s Strongest Man Summary
The World’s Strongest Man in 2022 was the 45th edition of the tournament, which was held in Sacramento, California from May 24 to May 29, 2022. Tom Stoltman became the winner of the competition for the second year in a row. Martins Licis and Oleksii Novikov, the winners of the 2019 and 2020 World’s Strongest Man competitions respectively, were tied on points for second place. In a tie, the athlete who finished first in the previous event is ranked first and as a result, Martins Licis finished second.
Brian Shaw (fourth) and Trey Mitchell (sixth) represneted the American contingent at the final along with second-placed Licis.
