The European Athletics Indoor Championships were held in Glasgow in 1990 and 2019, with the Commonwealth Arena serving as the venue once more. Five months before to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the event will serve as a component of the qualification procedure for these Games.

Glasgow 24 World Athletics Indoor Championships will have Scottee as its mascot. The Scottish Terrier is a canine friend that is self-assured, energetic, and persistent, and is well-known for their vibrant nature.
Scottee, who was created by a student at Crookston Primary School, is already well-known to keen-eyed spectators. He debuted as the European Athletics Indoor Championships mascot in 2019.
