In women’s Discus throw China’s Bin Feng clinched the gold medal with a the brilliant throw of 69.12m.

Moving up to the next event, in women’s 3000-metre steeplechase Kazakhstan’s Norah Jeruto won the gold medal in style. It was Kazakstan’s first ever medal in any colour at this competition.

On the other hand, Ethiopia added two more medals to its tally by winning a silver and bronze in the steeplechase. The addition of two medals in their tally further counted to a total of eight medals overall at this competition after the end of the day 6.
The USA further increases its medal tally to 19 as Valarie Allman won the bronze medal in women’s discus throw final.
