Ongoing debate on transgender athletes in sports
As AB Hernandez achieves her recent success, it comes amidst the ongoing discussions about transgender athletes competing in women’s sports. Just recently, President Donald Trump issued an act titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” act. The act aims to ban transgender women from competing in female categories. However, certain states, like California, have refused to comply with the new act. California Governor Gavin Newsom pushed back against the federal policy, leading to a potential legal battle. In response, the Trump administration threatened to cut funding and investigate California for alleged Title IX violations.
