Indian squad for 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup & reserve players
For India, experienced player Harmanpreet Kaur will act as the captain while Smriti Mandhana will carry the role of vice-captain. Indian squad for the T20 was unveiled on December 28, 2022 and Shikha Pandey returned to the team after a 14-month absence. Meghna Singh’s spot in the lineup was gone owing to her recent lackluster performance.
Additionally, Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh found their places in the squad after they led India to victory in the recently finished ICC U19 T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Sabbhineni Meghana, Sneh Rana, & Meghna Singh have earned their place as reserve players in the squad.

India will begin their campaign at the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup with a match on 12th February against arch-rivals Pakistan. Followed by this match, India will resume their journey with match against West Indies on 15th February. Later on 18th February, India will face-off against England before culminating their group stage challenge with a match against Ireland on 20th February.
