This year’s Asia Cup will be the Asian Hockey Federation’s quadrennial international women’s field hockey tournament. It will take place in the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Oman, from the 21st to the 28th of January 2022.
The tournament was initially slated to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, but it was switched to Muscat, Oman on December 29, 2021.
The reigning champions are India. The top four teams will advance to the FIH Women’s World Cup in 2022.
2022 Women’s Hockey Asia Cup Results And Score
In Muscat, South Korea defeated China to take control of Pool B at the Women’s Hockey Asia Cup. Both countries had won their opening matches at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Oman’s capital city.
By halftime, South Korea had built a 2-0 lead, which they increased in the second half to secure a 4-0 triumph. Prior to their last Pool A encounter against Thailand, the result appears to guarantee South Korea a place in the semi-finals.
Today’s contest pits Thailand against Indonesia in their second pool encounter, with both teams looking for their first wins.
