Yoga teacher Leanne Lucas is critical after being attacked in the Southport stabbing attack
Three children were killed in a knife assault, and the teacher named Leanne Lucas who valiantly shielded the kids from the attacker is now fighting grave injuries in the hospital. The incident happened on Monday, July 29, at a dancing lesson with a Taylor Swift theme in the UK town of Southport.
Leanne Lucas, a children’s yoga instructor, is thought to be among the adults who are critically hurt in the hospital after trying to save children during the knife assault.
At the Taylor Swift dance party at The Hart Space on Hart Street, a man broke in with a knife, Leanne Lucas was one of the organizers. Chief Constable Serena Kenney reportedly said: “The adults were bravely trying to protect the children.”

35 year old Lucas lives in Southport and runs Enlighten Kids Yoga, through which she put on the Swift-themed yoga and dance workshop at the Hart Space, a studio venue used for various different classes.
She is a former primary school teacher and trained yoga teacher, who specialises in running yoga classes. According to Leanne’s Facebook page, she had recently returned to the UK after a holiday in Italy that included a trip to Venice and the Dolomite Mountains.

A few people expressed their support for the instructor on Leanne’s Instagram profile, where a large number of people left comments on her most recent post.
An Instagram user remarked, “This woman is a hero and saved the lives of children.”
Another one wrote, “Your altruism definitely saved lives.” I’m grateful; you are a hero.
“Wishing you a quick recovery, you’re all in my thoughts,” said someone.
Merseyside police reported that eight other children were stabbed, five of whom were in serious condition, during the horrific midday attack on Monday that claimed the lives of three young girls, ages six, seven, and nine.
Leanne Lucas and colleague Heidi Barlow, both 35, bravely protected dozens of kids by locking them in the toiler after a knifeman attacked their summer camp in Southport. While Heidi escaped uninjured, Leanne is currently critical.
A 17-year-old boy, from Banks is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Other shooting incidents
A guy was said to have attacked several individuals in Zhaike Village, a community in Rizhao’s Ju County in Shandong, China, on February 10, 2024, the first day of the Chinese New Year, with a knife and maybe a pistol.
The episode, often referred to as the Zhaike Village massacre or the Ju County massacre, resulted in the deaths of at least 21 individuals, including two police officers and a doctor, and numerous injuries. Because of stringent government control, specifics of the carnage are still unknown and unverified. There were rumours that there were more attackers engaged.
