Tewari will leave her current position to assume new duties in the Prime Minister’s Office in accordance with the March 29 decree. Her tenure will continue to be associated with the current administration’s term.
Aged 35-45, Dr. Sushil Jaiswal, who is from the Deoria district, is the spouse of IFS Nidhi Tiwari. He practices in Varanasi and has an MD and MBBS degree. After being married in 2006, IAS Nidhi Tiwari continued to study for the UPSC and passed the Civil Services Examination in 2013 with a 96th rank, according to media reports.
Nidhi Tewari who is a Brahmin Hindu completed her schooling from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and then pursued her undergraduate degree in Political Science from BHU. While her DOB isn’t known, she is aged between 35-45 years.
Nidhi Tewari completed her undergraduate studies in political science at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), a prominent Indian university renowned for its emphasis on the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
The IFS officer from the 2014 batch hails from the Mahmoorganj neighborhood of Varanasi, which has been PM Modi’s Lok Sabha seat since 2014. Prior to entering the Indian Foreign Service, she worked as an Assistant Commissioner in Varanasi after earning the 96th position in the 2013 Civil Services Examination.
She was an Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax) in Varanasi before passing the UPSC. In addition to the job, she studied for the UPSC and, thanks to her diligence and hard work, she passed the Civil Services Examination, which is regarded as one of the most difficult exams in the nation.
She worked on issues pertaining to national security, atomic energy, and foreign policy while she was employed at the PMO. In the PMO, where she worked under NSA Ajit Doval, Nidhi’s knowledge of international relations, particularly the foreign and security vertical has proved invaluable. He had previously worked at the Ministry of External Affairs.

The order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on March 29 read, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms Nidhi Tewari, IFS (2014), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, as Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, in Level 12 of the pay matrix with immediate effect, on a co-terminus basis or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
