On June 13, during the FIFA World Cup match between Turkey vs Australia hosted in Vancouver, a fan nicknamed Udi Neco became the massive trending meme online.
During group match, Uco, who is a dedicated Turkish fan was caught by the live cameras due to his striking appearance in the stands.
Although, Uco is making waves online now, this isn’t first time he has appeared in a football match like this, as he is a widely known and dedicated Turkish football supporter.
His real name is Necmeddin Çelikhan and he is a successful Turkish jeweler and has been following the Turkish national team around the world for over 40 years.
In addition to being a devoted fan of the national team, he’s also a well-known supporter of Beşiktaş and during the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage match, his striking appearance dominated the internet, with fans comparing his dedication to a “superhero.”
For unversed, Nedi Uco, real name Necdet Ölçerman appeared in the stands of FIFA World Cup match painting his face jet black and his beard and hair white, which is the color of his club, Besiktas.

His fame comes entirely from beind a dedicated football fan, otherwise, he is a private and anonymous citizen, which is why there isn’t much information available about him.
Reportedly, before becoming a cultural icon and influencer for football fans, he served as a member of the Turkish Gendarmerie.

In addition to Udi Neco, there is another 22-year-old Scottish fan, who is making waves online due to his extreme physical feat.
To celebrate his country qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the young fan embarked on a journey, walking more than 4,000 KM, which is approximately 2,500 miles from Los Angeles to all the way to Boston to follow up the tournament.
