Earlier reports emerged revealing that NFL star Aldon Jacarus Smith suddenly passed away. The reports came to spotlight after the San Francisco 49ers took to social media and announced the tragic news of his demise on Saturday.
At the time of writing this article, there is no verified cause of Aldon Smith’s death as well as till now there is no statement released from his family’s side regarding the same, so his cause of death remains unknown.

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Examiner of Santa Clara County has confirmed that an official investigation and determination is yet pending as the officials are currently following the medical procedures, which involves a complete toxicological analysis and full autopsy.
However, media reports claim that the professional NFL player was found slumped over in one of his friend’s car less than an hour before he was pronounced dead. He was pronounced dead in San Jose at the Good Samaritan Hospital.
Who is Shawna McKnight?
Although there is only little information available about Shawna McKnight as she was a private person who only came to the limelight after her relationship with Aldon Smith became public due to their legal dispute.
The two were reportedly in a long-term relationship and got engaged in 2018 and were about to get married. However, on March 3, 2018, following a domestic dispute, McKnight called the San Francisco police to their apartment.

At the time Aldon Smith fled the scene before authorities could reach their apartment. Reportedly, McKnight suffered from life-threatening injuries. Due to the controversial dispute, the Oakland Raiders terminated his contract the very next day. Due to this dispute, the couple went their ways.
