Destiny embroiled in viral video scandal

Popular Twitch streamer recently started trending online on December 1, 2024, following rumours of a a viral video with Nick. The video allegedly showed a man resembling the streamer engaging in an intimate encounter with another man stated to be far-right commentator Nick Fuentes.

The video has since triggered widespread speculation, as many netizens believe the claims asserted in the clip. Moreover, several social media users have also unearthed an old clip of Nick and Destiny from a 2022 livestream. Following the incident, Twitch has banned the streamer, with many fans suggesting that the ban comes from him hosting Nick Fuentes, who is a self-proclaimed white nationalist. Nick even had an indefinite ban issued to him in 2019.

According to netizens, the timeline of the visit aligns with when Destiny recorded the alleged video. A series of screenshots from Destiny’s chat logs around the same period further fuelled the rumours.

Destiny denies allegations

Following the alleged video going viral online, Destiny came out to deny all allegations. The streamer stated the video was not authentic, saying:

There have been a lot of rumors and deepfake AI videos that have been spread lately that look somewhat convincing. I’m not gonna do a deep intro into all that.”

He also addressed the chat logs, stating:

But I will say a friend of mine’s account that I talked to three or four years ago ended up being compromised.

He then added:

Destiny started out his streaming career back in 2011 on Justin.tv, now Twitch. He initially started out as a videogame streamer but later started doing far-left political commentary as it attracted more viewers. Notably, the famous streamer has changed his political stance multiple times over the past few years. The streamer is often in the middle of controversy due to his seemingly extremist views.

During the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, Destiny made some controversial statements against the protestors, saying that he would prefer if alt-right forces “mowed down” people who were looting and torching stores.
