Who is Prithika Pavade?
Prithika Pavade is a table tennis player born in France with Indian roots. She was born on August 2, 2004 in Villepinte, France. In her first year at college, the 19-year-old balances her science coursework at the university alongside her sports career.
Although her father Vijayan Pavade worked at the George V Hotel in Paris, he had been a table tennis player in his youth in Puducherry and France’s second-highest-ranked female table tennis player is of Indian origin, tracing her roots to Pondicherry and is ranked 32 in the world in singles.

Prithika Pavade is currently ranked 33rd in the world and number 2nd in France. It all started because of his father, who is a former table tennis player at the regional level in India. He inspired his daughter to go ahead with the sport and that’s when she mastered herself staying in France.
The left-hander began playing TT when her father, who had relocated to France from Pondicherry in 2003; a year before her birth; introduced her to the sport as a way to maintain her physical fitness. It was in the first grade that she took up this sport. This left-handed player gained an immediate reputation for her quickness and intelligence.
Her victories in the French Championships at the age of nine and the French Cadet Championship at the age of twelve distinguished her as one of the team’s potential Olympic competitors.

Prithika Pavade’s family
Prithika Pavade’s father was born and raised in Puducherry, India but relocated to Paris after his marriage. She was a member of the Bourget table tennis club when the family relocated to Le Bourget, which is close to the Paul-Simon gym. When Prithika was just six years old, her father, a TT player who had competed at the provincial level, first urged her to give it a try.
