Over the three runs at the Qiantang Roller Sports Complex, Kusaki’s second-run score of 87.78 points proved to be insurmountable for her rivals, ensuring her victory even before the start of her final run. Kusaki outdid herself in the third run, showcasing her tremendous talent and earning an astounding score of 88.87.
On her win, Hinano Kusaki expressed her delight by saying,
I’m glad I made all the tricks. I’ll be very happy if I can show the joy of skateboarding through my runs. Our skateboarding family encourages each other. We feel happy for other skaters’ great tricks. If we can’t do something, we talk to find out how we can do it.
Li Yujuan and Mao Jiasi of China won the silver and bronze medals in the competition, respectively, with scores of 85.48 and 80.46.
