Harvik Desai is an Indian cricketer known for being a wicketkeeper-batsman. He has been in the news because he is going to play for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024 as a replacement for Vishnu Vinod.
He was born on 4 October 1999 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. His father’s name is Manish and he also has one brother named Abhishek Desai.
Harvik Desai did his schooling at St. Xavier’s School, Bhavnagar.

His career
In February 2017, Harvik Desai made his List A debut for Saurashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy season 2016–17. Later, he was included in the Indian team for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2017. Notably, he was instrumental in handing India the victory in the final match of the tournament.
On November 1, 2018, he made his Saurashtra first-class debut in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. Desai hit his first-class cricket century against Uttar Pradesh in January 2019, during the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy quarterfinal match.
In the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he made his Twenty20 debut for Saurashtra. With a strike rate of 175 and 336 runs in seven games, including a career-high 104, Desai had an incredible Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Harvik Desai has amassed 291 runs at an average of 30 and a strike rate of 134 in 24 T20 matches. He has also amassed four half-centuries and one century. Furthermore, he has attained centuries in each of the three-game formats.
